ordinary hours of work definition

ordinary hours of work means the hours of work permitted in terms of clause 11;
ordinary hours of work means the hours of work prescribed in clause 8 but if by agreement between an employer and the employee the latter works a lesser number of ordinary hours, it means such shorter hours;
ordinary hours of work means the ordinary hours of work for a full time employee are 36¾ hours per week. However where a full time employee is required by an industrial instrument to work 38 hours per week, 38 is to be substituted for 36¾ [or fraction thereof] in all relevant parts of this award.

  • Overtime shall mean all work performed outside the ordinary span of hours on any day, or in excess of the ordinary fortnightly hours in accordance with clause 22 – Ordinary Hours of Work.

  • This rate to be exclusive of the weekend premium prescribed in sub-clause 7.2 (Ordinary Hours of Work) above.

  • A full-time Employee shall mean an Employee who is engaged to work the standard ordinary hours in accordance with the Ordinary Hours of Work provided for by this Agreement.


More Definitions of ordinary hours of work
