Maximization of Shifts. (a) While the Employer is entitled to schedule shifts of various lengths as provided for in this agreement, the Employer will undertake to maximize the length of shifts through the workweek before instituting shifts of lesser duration. Where a shift becomes available that is longer in duration than a scheduled shift, the longer shift will be offered in seniority order to employees scheduled to work a shorter shift on the same day.

When there are no hours available in their own classification, employees may maximize their hours by working in a different classification, pursuant to Clause 27.1(f), provided they are qualified to do the work.

Notwithstanding Clause 16.10 – Rest Interval- by completing an availability form an employee may accept shifts resulting in less than eight hours between shifts but no less than seven hours for the purpose of maximization of shifts. Accepting such a shift will not result in overtime. Part-time employees may maximize their hours by working additional hours within their own classification. When there are no hours available in their own classification, employees may maximize their hours by working in a different classification, pursuant to Clause 27.1(f), provided they are qualified to do the work.
Maximization of Shifts. ‌ Regular flex and fixed part-time employees may maximize their hours by working additional hours within their own classification. When there are no hours available in their own classification, employees may maximize their hours by working in a different classification provided they do not exceed 40 hours a week. Regular flex and fixed part-time employees will complete an availability form to maximize hours.

  • Rotation of Shifts Employees required to work rotating shifts (day, evening and night duty) shall be scheduled in such a way as to, as equitably as possible, assign the rotation equally. This does not preclude an Employee from being continuously assigned to an evening or night shift at the Employee’s request where such continuing assignment is acceptable to the Employer.

  • Operation of School a) Unless the School has already ceased operations, the Sponsor shall assume operation of the school throughout the pendency of the hearing under §§1002.33(8)(b)&(c), F.S., unless the continued operation of the School would materially threaten the health, safety, or welfare of the students. Failure by the Sponsor to assume and continue operation of the School shall result in the awarding of reasonable costs and attorney’s fees to the School if the School prevails on appeal.

  • Election of Stewards In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or elect stewards (to a maximum of two), whose duty shall be to assist any employee which the xxxxxxx represents, in preparing and in presenting his/her grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.

  • Definition of Shifts (a) A shift starting on or after 6:00 a.m., but before 9:00 a.m. is a day shift.

  • Evaluation of Students Acknowledging the District’s adopted grading system, the teacher shall maintain the right and responsibility to determine grades and other evaluation of a student. No grade or evaluation shall be changed except by the teacher with the approval of the building administrator.

  • Distribution of UDP and TCP queries DNS probes will send UDP or TCP “DNS test” approximating the distribution of these queries.

  • Recognition of Stewards The Employer recognizes employees who are designated by the Union as stewards to act on behalf of the employees.
