Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave. The following in part reflects the provisions of the Employment Standards Act on these matters. In all cases of dispute, and where the Act as amended from time to time is superior, the provisions of the Act will prevail.
Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave. 18.01 The Company agrees to provide the above leaves in accordance with current legislation. This legislation will be posted on the Human Resources bulletin board.

(a) The employee shall normally provide the Employer with one month’s at least four (4) weeks’ written notice in advance of the intended commencement and completion dates of the leave. In the case of pregnancy, the employee shall provide the Employer with a medical doctor’s certificate of the estimated date of delivery.

Additional leave allowing for a total leave of up to one (1) year may be granted in accordance with the provisions of Article 15.01.
