Jury Duty - An. Employee serving as a juror or who has been subpoenaed as a crown witness will receive the difference between his jury or crown witness pay and his regular pay for the time lost, from his regular scheduled hours, while serving in one of these capacities, provided that the Director of Human Resources is presented with a statement certified by the Clerk of the Court or the Crown Attorney, as appropriate, as to the amount of time spent by the Employee.

Jury Duty - An hourly rated employee, when forced off work due to being summoned for jury duty, shall receive pay equal to wages the employee would have earned with a minimum of eight (8) hours of pay. Any employee required to perform jury duty may have his or her days off changed to conform with the jury duty assignment, if so requested. Such change will be granted unless, in the judgment of the Authority, it is not feasible because of operational needs. Such change shall not result in any loss or gain in either days off or pay. No employee will perform work on a day when the employee has reported for jury duty, except in a case of emergency. No jury duty allowance will be paid to an employee on a scheduled day off or when absent from work due to sickness or injury or during a vacation period. The employee shall be required to reimburse the Authority with the jury service fee received from the Jury Commission for the number of days paid by the Authority. The employee will retain transportation fees provided by the Jury Commission. Should an emergency arise that would require an employee to be called out to work during the period of their jury duty, the straight time hours allowed for jury service shall be used in computing weekly overtime, but weekly overtime shall not be duplicated.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Jury Duty 31.1 An employee who is summoned for jury duty and is required to lose time from his assignment as a result thereof, shall be paid for actual time lost with a maximum of one basic day's pay at the straight time rate of his position for each day lost, less the amount allowed him for jury duty for each such day excluding allowances paid by the court for meals, lodging or transportation, subject to the following requirements and limitations:

  • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee. Any hours worked beyond the regularly scheduled workday shall be subject to the workweek and overtime provisions (Article I). An employee may request a change in regularly scheduled working hours to a Monday through Friday day shift for the duration of such jury duty. Such requests shall be granted if practicable.

  • Jury Duty/Subpoena A. An employee shall be allowed such time off without loss of compensation as is required in connection with mandatory jury duty. If payment is made for such time off, the employee is required to remit to the State jury fees received. When night jury service is required of an employee, the employee shall be allowed time off without loss of compensation for such portion of the required time that coincides with the employee's normal work schedule. This includes any necessary travel time.

  • Jury Duty and Witness Duty If an employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest, in connection with a case arising from an employee’s duties at the Home, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance, provided that the employee:

  • Jury Duty and Crown Witness 20.01 Employees subpoenaed as a Crown Witness or for jury duty shall be paid the difference between the normal daily wages and the amount they receive for such public duty.

  • Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave A. Leave of absence with pay will be granted to employees for jury duty with appropriate documentation. An employee will be allowed to retain any compensation paid to him or her for jury duty service. An employee will inform his/her supervisor when notified of a jury summons and will cooperate in requesting a postponement of service if warranted by business demands.

  • JURY DUTY AND WITNESS PAY 21.1 All employees shall be granted leave with pay and without loss of any benefits of their employment, to serve as a juror in State or Federal court or witness as a consequence of their official duties in response to subpoena or similar service issued out of a State or Federal Court, subject to the following provisions:

  • Jury Duty/Court Leave 1. Any employee who is absent due to a court appearance to testify on behalf of the school or who is subpoenaed to testify because of an incident which arose out of the employee’s being a witness to events at school, shall be granted paid professional leave upon the employee submitting to the Administration a copy of the subpoena as verification for the leave.

  • Jury Duty or Subpoena Any employee summoned as a juror or subpoenaed as a witness shall be granted leave in accordance with state law, a copy of which is attached in Addendum B.
