Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave. A. Leave of absence with pay will be granted to employees for jury duty with appropriate documentation. An employee will be allowed to retain any compensation paid to him or her for jury duty service. An employee will inform his/her supervisor when notified of a jury summons and will cooperate in requesting a postponement of service if warranted by business demands.

Any compensation received for jury duty performed on contracted days shall be deducted from the employee's salary. Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave. If an employee is called for jury duty or is subpoenaed as a witness in a court case, the employee will be entitled to paid leave for the hours of work necessarily lost as a result of such service. Fees received by the employee for such service shall be kept by the employee and the employee’s salary will be reduced by a like amount. (This does not apply to travel or subsistence expenses.) This entire provision does not apply in any case where the employee or the Association is a complainant in any case against the District.
