Health AndSafety. All necessary precautions shall be taken by the Contractor to ensure the health and safety of staff and labour engaged for the Works. The Contractor shall, in collaboration with and to the requirements of the local health authorities, ensure that para-medical staff, first aid facilities, ambulance service are available on the Site at all times, and that suitable arrangements are made for all necessary welfare and hygiene requirements and for the prevention of epidemics. The Contractor shall appoint a safety officer to be responsible for the safety of personnel on the Site. This safety officer shall be qualified for his work and shall have the authority to issue instructions concerning safety and take protective measures to prevent accidents. The Contractor shall maintain records and make reports concerning health, safety and welfare of personnel, and damage to property, in such manner as the Authority may reasonably require.

Health AndSafety. Section 9.1 All employees shall have the right to work in safe and healthful conditions. No employee shall knowingly be given any assignment that is dangerous to his/her physical safety or health. However, it is recognized by the Employer and the Union that, due to the nature of the services and the individuals, it is not always possible to know the circumstances in which an employee may be involved. It is the responsibility of the employee to bring concerns he/she may have to the attention of his supervisor so that adequate precautions may be taken to prevent harm to him or his co-workers. The employees also accept the responsibility to follow all safety rules and safe working methods of the Employer.
Health AndSafety. Section 13.1. Safety must be a prime concern and the responsibility of both parties. Therefore, the Employer accepts the responsibility to attempt to provide safe working conditions and working methods for his employees. The employee(s) accepts the responsibility to maintain his tools, equipment and work area in a safe and proper manner and accepts the responsibility to follow all safety rules and safe working methods of the Employer. All working conditions believed to be unsafe must be reported to the employee’s supervisor in charge as soon as said unsafe working conditions are known. The supervisor will investigate all reports of unsafe working conditions and will correct any which are found and see that the safety rules and safe working methods are followed by his employees.
Health AndSafety. 3.1 The Customer has read and fully understands the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974and shalfully comply with the provisionsthereof. TheCustomershall not do anything which may have a detrimental effect on either its obligations or those of The Council under the1974 Act.
