Employee-Initiated Grievance. 1. The employee shall prepare a written grievance within twenty-five (25) working days of the incident or occurrence giving rise to the complaint. The employee shall submit the grievance to the immediate supervisor and Department Head or designated manager. The grievance shall describe the issue, identify the Article of the MOU or section of written policy, rule, resolution or ordinance which the employee feels has been violated and the requested remedy.

Employee-Initiated Grievance a. The employee shall prepare a written grievance within twenty-five (25) working days of the incident or occurrence giving rise to the complaint. If the parties elect to engage in the E.I.T. process as defined in paragraph C, the timelines shall be extended up to an additional twenty-five (25) days not to exceed a total of fifty (50) working days. The employee shall submit the grievance to the immediate supervisor and Department Head or designated manager. The grievance shall describe the issue, identify the Article of the Memorandum of Understanding or section of written policy, rule, resolution or ordinance which the employee feels has been violated and the requested remedy.
Employee-Initiated Grievance. Step 1. An employee must bring a grievance to the supervisor’s attention, either verbally or in writing, within 21 calendar days of: the event that gave rise to the grievance or, the date the employee became aware of the event. The employee normally presents a grievance to the immediate supervisor first. If the grievance involves that supervisor, the grievance may be presented to the next level supervisor. If that supervisor is a Step 2 or higher official, the grievance must be in writing. The supervisor discusses the grievance with the employee and a representative, if designated, within seven (7) calendar days of being made aware of the grievance. If the employee has not designated a union representative, a union official will be given the opportunity to attend and present the union’s views. A labor relations specialist may be present as an advisor. A written decision will be rendered within fifteen (15) calendar days of the grievance discussion.

  • Employee Grievance If an employee considers there has been a significant change to the job content of the position held, the employee may initiate a grievance by using Step 1 of the Grievance Procedure. If the issue is not resolved at this step, the Job Classification Review Procedure of Article 22.02(B) above shall be utilized.

  • Company Grievance It is understood that the Company may request a meeting with the Union for the purpose of presenting any complaints with respect to the conduct of the Union. If such a complaint by the Company is not settled, it may be submitted in writing as a grievance at Step 3 and may be referred to arbitration.

  • Informal Grievance The aggrieved employee or group of employees or a representative of the Union shall orally present the grievance to the employee's Supervisor or his/her designated representative within five (5) standard working days following the occurrence of events on which the grievance is based.
