Distribution of Part-time Work. (a) All regular part-time nurses in a unit will be scheduled up to their committed hours by seniority before any casual part-time nurses are utilized.
Distribution of Part-time Work. The Hospital agrees to post the schedule two (2) months in advance for a one (1) month period and to achieve and maintain the following regulations in the formulation of working schedules:
Distribution of Part-time Work. For part-time employees, additional shifts shall be offered in descending seniority order on a cyclical basis within each or rotation. Priority for these additional shifts will be given to employees in this order: regular part-time employees who have not worked up to their commitment; regular part-time employees who wish to work additional tours and have worked up to their commitment; casual part-time employees; job sharing employees when not covering for their partner; job sharing employees who are covering for their partner, but after all regular part-time and casual employees have been called. The above are subject to: Employees who wish to be considered for additional tours must indicate their availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital;

When regular part-time employees on the unit have been given the opportunity to work up to their commitment, the Hospital will endeavour to offer additional tours using the following sequence: Regular part-time employees on the unit by seniority Regular part-time employees on other units by seniority Casual part-time employees on the unit by seniority Casual part-time employees on other units by seniority Job sharers Employees who wish to be considered for additional tours must indicate their availability in the manner prescribed by the hospital; A tour will be deemed to be offered whenever a call is placed; It is understoodthat the hospital will not be required to offer tours which would result in overtime premium pay; When a regular part-time employee accepts an additional tour, must report for that tour unless arrangements satisfactory to the hospital are made; Provided they are qualified, employees may submit their availability to work additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing hospital practice.

  • Distribution of Benefits Members of this unit with at least one year of the service to the District may apply for a number of days consistent with a one-for-one match of their individual sick leave accumulation as of the end of the previous contract year brought forward to the year of the onset of disability.
