Continuing Education Credits. As an incentive for teachers to upgrade their skills at workshops and seminars approved by the administration, the Board shall add a personal leave day for each fifteen (15) hours of actual workshop or seminar attendance. (For example: A teacher gets approval to take two classes on computers that meets four sessions each, at two hours per session. This totals sixteen hours of time. This makes the teacher eligible for one leave day in accordance with the following paragraphs.)

Continuing Education Credits. Any teacher that has a Master’s degree (or Master’s equivalent for those that qualify in Article 19.C) will receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) credit for salary schedule advancement when both of the following conditions are met:

Continuing Education Credits. NeuGroup is an approved NASBA sponsor and NeuGroup in-person meetings are pre-approved for NASBA Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. NeuGroup will provide appropriate certification for CPE upon request. NeuGroup will also provide letters of confirmation and provide reasonable supporting documentation for other continuing education accreditations. NeuGroup does not guarantee that NASBA, nor by other continuing education governing body, will accept attendance at NeuGroup meetings for CPE credits.

Teachers will receive ½ CEU credit on the salary guide for 5 hours, 1 CEU credit for 10 hours and 1 ½ CEU credit for 15 hours etc., of attendance at an approved professional development course. 1 CEU credit equals 1 graduate school credit for the purposes of salary guide movement. (Participation in district in-service activities that are scheduled during what would normally be part of the school day is not eligible for CEU credit).
