Notice of Intent to Return from Leave. The unit member shall give written notice to the District of the unit member’s intention to return to duties by March 1 of the year in which the leave expires; otherwise, it will be assumed that the unit member does not intend to return.

Notice of Intent to Return from Leave. Employees on leave must give the Superintendent written notice of intent to return according to the timelines specified for such leave in the contract, or if not specified in the contract, according to the letter from the Superintendent authorizing such leave. Failure to provide such notice as required in this contract shall terminate the employee’s reinstatement rights to the extent permitted under the Michigan Teacher Tenure Act.
