A Clinical Physiology Technician demonstrates advanced practice where they: • Have advanced knowledge and skills, reflected in having a relevant qualification or certification equivalent to the CPM, and preferably 3 years of post-certification practice as a Technician; and • Are required and demonstrate expert support for the management of clinical risks of patients; and • Have increased responsibility for independent administration, and/or preliminary interpretation of event monitoring and/or simple xxxxxx monitor, and/or trouble- shooting of complex diagnostic equipment. The parties will continue to review these criteria and consider any relevant standards, scopes or guidance issues by the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board and the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology NZ.
