Civil Service Status a) A Cadet Senior who successfully completes the Modified Training Academy will be placed in the Civil Service classification of Police Officer and automatically becomes a full- fledged Civil Service employee and has full Civil Service protection, subject to successfully completing probation. Until completion of probation, each officer hired through this Modified Hiring Process is an at-will employee who may be discharged by the Chief of Police at any time, without right of appeal.

Civil Service Status. All professional employees are considered Unclassified Civil Service and, therefore, are not subject to rules and regulations of the Rensselaer County Civil Service Commission. However, the qualifications for, and the nature and scope of the duties and responsibilities, as stipulated by the College's Board of Trustees are filed with the Rensselaer County Civil Service Commission to comply with Section 35(i) of the Civil Service Law, and the State University of New York and can be obtained upon written request of the College's Records Access Officer (Vice President for Administration).

Civil Service Status. An employee who is in his/her first six (6) months of employment with the Village (“probationary period”) as a transfer or a resignation reinstatement into the Village, or twelve (12) months otherwise, shall not be entitled to this procedure, unless approved by the Chief of Police. In the event the employee is serving in his/her probationary period, as set forth herein, and is approved by the Chief of Police for this procedure, that employee shall agree in writing to hold in abeyance the remainder of the probationary period until the employee returns to full duty. For employees who are serving in their probationary period, the Form Agreement annexed to this agreement as Form "2" shall apply which contains two (2) pages. Conditions for leave o f absence and continued tenure with the Village may vary depending on the civil service status of the employee; e.g., provisional; etc.

  • Scope of Service Interconnection Service shall be provided to the Interconnection Customer at the Point of Interconnection (a), in the case of interconnection of the Customer Facility of a Generation Interconnection Customer, up to the Maximum Facility Output, and (b), in the case of interconnection of the Customer Facility of a Transmission Interconnection Customer, up to the Nominal Rated Capability. The location of the Point of Interconnection shall be mutually agreed by the Interconnected Entities, provided, however, that if the Interconnected Entities are unable to agree on the Point of Interconnection, the Transmission Provider shall determine the Point of Interconnection, provided that Transmission Provider shall not select a Point of Interconnection that would impose excessive costs on either of the Interconnected Entities and shall take material system reliability considerations into account in such selection. Specifications for the Customer Facility and the location of the Point of Interconnection shall be set forth in an appendix to the Interconnection Service Agreement and shall conform to those stated in the Facilities Study.

  • Community Service Leave Community service leave is provided for in the NES.

  • Trial Service Period 1. Except for those employees in an in-training appointment, all other employees with permanent status who are promoted, or who voluntarily accept a transfer or demotion into a job classification for which they have not previously attained permanent status, will serve a trial service period of six (6) consecutive months. The Employer may extend the trial service period to no more than twelve (12) consecutive months, provided the employee is given written, performance based reasons for the extension. The Employer agrees to notify the employee when it intends to extend the trial service period beyond six (6) months. The employee may choose to notify the union.

  • Level of Service 4.1.1 Each Member and New Market Entrant shall:

  • Removal of Contractor Employee All employees of the Engineer assigned to this contract shall have such knowledge and experience as will enable them to perform the duties assigned to them. The State may instruct the Engineer to remove any employee from association with work authorized in this contract if, in the sole opinion of the State, the work of that employee does not comply with the terms of this contract or if the conduct of that employee becomes detrimental to the work.

  • Jury Service Leave 6.18.1 An employee, other than a casual employee, required to attend for jury service during their ordinary working hours shall be reimbursed by the employer an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid in respect of their attendance for such jury service and the ordinary pay the employee would have been paid if the employee was not absent on jury service.
