Career’s leave. If the Employee is required to care for a member of their immediate family or members of their household, they may utilize paid (or unpaid for loaded Part-time employees) sick leave entitlements for this purpose. If required, employees may also receive up to 2 extra day’s unpaid leave, per occasion. Evidence in the form of a certificate from a registered health practitioner is required stating the reason for, and possible duration of the care required.

Career’s leave. 35.5.1 An employee (other than a casual) is entitled to use up to ten days personal leave each year as career’s leave to provide care and support for members of the employees immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support. This entitlement is subject to the employee being responsible for the care and support of the person concerned.

  • Carer’s Leave An employee may use up to 10 days accrued sick days as carers leave to tend to the care for members of the employee’s immediate household. The leave will be subject to the employee providing reasonable proof of the need for the use of xxxxx’s leave. In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.
