The Union undertakes and agrees that while this Agreement is in operation, neither the Union nor any Employee, shall take part in or call or encourage any strike, picketing, slowdown, or any suspension of, or stoppage of, or interference with work or production which shall in any way affect the operations of the Employer, nor shall there be any sympathy strikes or secondary boycotts, and the Employer agrees that it will not engage in any lockout during the term of this Agreement. ARTICLE STRIKES LOCKOUTS. During the term of this Agreement the Union agrees that there will be no strike and the Company agrees that there will be no lockout. The Company recognizes the right of employees to refuse to cross a legal picket line involving the Teamsters. ARTICLE SENIORITY Employees hired in grades one (1) and two (2) shall be employed on a probationary basis for sixty (60) calendar days and employees hired in grades three (3) to five (5) inclusive shall be employed on a probationary basis for ninety (90) calendar days. During these probationary periods, employees may be discharged without recourse to the Grievance Procedure. The Company may not discharge an employee for the purpose of forcing an additional probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, an employee shall be placed on the regular seniority list with seniority dating back to the date of hire.
