ANNUAL AND STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. 13.01 Vacation pay and statutory holiday pay will be combined in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of gross wages and included in gross wages, to be paid on each bi-weekly pay cheque.
ANNUAL AND STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. Annual vacations will be scheduled so that all officers will a of two (2) weeks (ten working days) annual vacation during the prime vacation time, if so desire. For those officers who are working the Shift presently in effect, they may take a minimum of (2) complete shifts during the vacation time, if they so desire. To accomplish this, personnel with (2) weeks days) annual vacation may apply their statutory holidays for any extra days that may be necessary to give them the two (2) complete shifts. This is subject to Clause below. To effect this, the following will apply: Prime Vacation Time is defined as June, July, August and September and the last (2) weeks in December. Members with only two (2) weeks (ten working days) annual vacation will be allowed to take the (2) weeks consecutively, or to split the two (2) weeks only at the option of the member. Statutory holidays, when applicable, and any annual vacation not taken in the prime vacation time, must be taken between January and May I, or between October and the last (2) weeks in December. All statutory holidays and annual vacation must be completed by December in any year, except for unusual circumstances. If under these unusual or mitigating circumstances, then only with the approval of the of Police. So as not to impair the efficient operation of Service, Platoons or Bureaus (including Records, etc.) of eight personnel or less, are allowed to have only one (1) person off on annual vacation or statutory holidays at any one time. Platoons or Bureaus of nine (9) to sixteen (16) personnel are allowed to have two (2) persons annual or statutory holidays at any one time. Platoons or Bureaus of seventeen (17) to twenty-four (24) personnel are allowed to have three (3) persons off on annual or statutory holidays, at any one time. Platoons or Bureaus of (25) to thirty-two (32) personnel are allowed to have four (4) persons off on annual or statutory holidays, at any one time. This shall increase by one (1) further person for every increase in Platoon or Bureau size of eight (8) persons or multiples thereof above thirty-two (32) personnel. ANNUAL AND STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. Supervisors scheduling annual vacation or statutory holidays shall give preference the of members on the basis of greater seniority, wherever practicable. Therefore, seniority will permit all members lo request weeks or complete off in the instance. Then this cycle would commence again on the basis of seniority and work from the member with greatest seniority to the member the least seniority, until and Statutory Holidays have been scheduled. in the event that two or more members of equal seniority apply for the same annual leave lime, the Division Commander shall attempt to the request of such member, subject to the exigencies of the Service, and if the issue cannot he to the affected member' satisfaction, the issue shall be resolved by a coin toss. Once the schedules of annual vacation and statutory holidays have been Sent to Deputy Chief of they may not be changed except with consent Of the Chief of Police. In the case of transfers and if a change in the statutory or annual is necessary, such change will be made only with the approval of the officer concerned. Statutory Holidays and Vacation schedules must be submilled by the 15th day of December of the previous year. All of the provisions of Appendix shall be subject to the exigencies of Service All annual and statutory holidays are to be finished prior to December in any year, otherwise agreed to the Chief of Police.
ANNUAL AND STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. Annual and Statutory Holidays shall not, for the purpose of determining the contributions, be considered as hours worked unless work is actually performed on such days.
