SHIFT SYSTEM Clause Samples
SHIFT SYSTEM. The Shift System of work referred to in this Article shall consist of three (3) eight (8) hour routine shifts as follows:
4.3.1 A day shift shall be one in which the majority of scheduled hours fall between 8:00
a. m. and 4:00 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays included.
4.3.2 The afternoon shift shall be one in which the majority of scheduled hours fall between 4:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays included.
4.3.3 The night shift shall be one in which the majority of scheduled hours fall between 12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m., Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays included.
SHIFT SYSTEM. (a) Shifts and scheduled days off, shift lengths, shift assignments, rotations and adjustments, changing shifts and days off, volunteering for shifts, rotation between wards, and changes through local arrangements, shall be covered under the respective Component Agreements.
(b) If the Employer rosters an employee in such a manner that the employee is indebted to the Employer, such indebtedness shall not be repayable.
SHIFT SYSTEM. It was previously reported that the employer took the responsibility to develop a new shift system. At the last meeting, the employer reported that the proposed shift system is nearing conclusion. It employer emphasized that consultation in the Chamber will first take place before any implementation of the policy. The employer will also arrange for a principals meeting when it is ready to present the proposed shift system.
