Classification Specifications. A written description of the work required of positions in the classification that includes the classification title, definition, distinguishing characteristics, supervision received and exercised, essential and marginal function statements, qualifications, and working conditions. Classification specifications are descriptive and explanatory of the general work required in positions in that classification and are not necessarily inclusive of all duties to be performed in a particular position.
