Stewards Program. MEA may select a total of six (6) stewards for this Unit. MEA shall give to the City's representative a written list of employees who have been selected as stewards. This list shall be kept current by MEA and submitted to the Assistant Director of Administrative Services/ Human ResourcesHuman Resources Director every six (6) months. The role of the xxxxxxx is to provide timely MEA representation to employees seeking such assistance in the resolution of employment disputes or potential employment disputes. Stewards, when leaving their work locations to fulfill their responsibilities as xxxxxxx, shall first obtain permission from their immediate supervisor and inform them of the general nature of the business. Permission to leave shall be granted promptly unless such absence would cause undue interruption of work. If such permission cannot be granted promptly, the xxxxxxx shall be, if possible, informed when time may be made available. MEA stewards shall complete a time use slip to document MEA activity time used as part of the allocation set forth herein. This slip shall be initialed by the xxxxxxx using the time and by the supervisor authorizing it. The authorization slip shall be submitted to the Human Resources Department. Xxxxxxx business which is subject to release time according to this Article may be conducted only at City work locations. Employees must track their use of Xxxxxxx business in the City’s timekeeping system by using appropriate payroll codes so that the City can keep accurate, ongoing records of the amount of leave used for the year at any time. Upon entering a work location, the xxxxxxx shall inform the appropriate supervisor of the nature of the business. Permission to leave the job shall be granted promptly to the employee involved unless such absence would cause an undue interruption of work. If the employee cannot be made available, the xxxxxxx shall be immediately informed, if possible, when the employee may be made available. MEA agrees that a xxxxxxx shall not log compensatory time or overtime pay for the time spent performing any function of a xxxxxxx. To the extent possible, due to the nature of part-time employment, the City expects some of the stewards to conduct association related business on his/her own time.

  • Stewards Stewards who attend Union/Management and Professional Responsibility Committee meetings outside of scheduled work hours shall be paid at straight time rates for time spent at the meetings.

  • The Program The Program is a comprehensive commercial energy efficiency program that offers financial incentives and financing for qualifying energy efficiency measures in commercial buildings to customers who are property owners, tenants or managers (customers) of ACE in New Jersey. Customers must receive ACE electric delivery service and be in good standing. Incentives are available to customers for the purchase and installation of qualifying energy-efficiency measures at the location where the qualifying project is to be installed. XXX will not offer financial incentives for the same eligible measure to those customers who have received financial incentives or rebates from other ACE energy efficiency programs.

  • Educational Program a. The educational program of the School (Section 4, Subsection 6 from the original contract and unchanged here) is as follows:

  • Apprenticeship Program 68. The parties agree to meet to discuss the development of mutually agreeable apprenticeship programs. The specific provisions of the apprenticeship programs shall be subject to agreement between the SFMTA, the Civil Service Commission (where appropriate), and the Union. Each apprenticeship program, however, shall contain at least the following terms:

  • Educational Incentive Program 15.2.1 A regular monthly classified unit member covered by this Agreement shall be granted a one-step increase (up to a step maximum of step G for Office/Technical unit members) on the first (1st) of the month following verification of satisfactory completion (grade of “C” or above) of twelve (12) semester units of credit from an accredited institution. Courses must have been enrolled in and credits must have been earned subsequent to the unit member's employment with the District. Official transcripts verifying a grade of “C” or above will be considered proof of satisfactory completion, in addition to the Educational Incentive Program Request for Salary Advancement Form, shall be provided by the eligible unit member and forwarded to the Office of Human Resources. Units of credit obtained prior to promotion must be applied toward step movement within sixty (60) calendar days of effective promotion date. The unit member shall ensure that the Compensation department is aware of these additional credits within this sixty (60) day period.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • In-Service Programs The parties to this collective agreement recognize the value of in-service education both to the employee and the Employer.
