Apprenticeship Program. 9. The parties agree to meet to discuss the development of mutually agreeable apprenticeship programs. The specific provisions of the apprenticeship programs shall be subject to agreement between the City, the Civil Service Commission (where appropriate), and the Union. Each apprenticeship program, however, shall contain at least the following terms:

Apprenticeship Program. The Apprenticeship Program, as negotiated, or as may be amended, is an inseparable part of this Skilled Trades Agreement.

The parties will jointly develop and implement an Apprenticeship Program that will increase the skill of the Puget Sound region work force, specifically women, people of color, and individuals who are low-income or under-represented on the work force, so that these workers can enter the pool of skilled labor, fully qualified for living wage jobs. Said Apprenticeship Program shall include the following components:
Apprenticeship Program. The District may create an Apprenticeship Program when in its judgment such a program would be beneficial to the District. If established, apprentice will begin work at 65% of the journey level pay and progress to 95% of journey level pay prior to attaining full journey level status.
Apprenticeship Program. Apprentices who are enrolled in a federally certified apprenticeship program may be used at the percentage rates of the journeyman scale stipulated in their apprenticeship agreement.
