SKILLED TRADES COUNCIL DUES. The Company agrees to deduct the Unifor-Canada Skilled Trades Council dues as may be adopted by the Unifor-Canada Skilled Trades Council, which is currently% hour per year from those employees who are working as a skilled trade as recognized under this Appendix. The first such deduction will be made from the employee's first pay following completion of their probationary period. Thereafter deductions will be made in January of each succeeding calendar year. These deductions along with the names of the employees shall be remitted to the financial secretary of the Union.

SKILLED TRADES COUNCIL DUES. The Company agrees to deduct Canadian Skilled Trades Council dues as may be adopted by the Canadian Skilled Trades Council from employees in those occupations set out in Article 27.01(b) (Purpose of the Article). The amount of such dues shall be certified by the Union to the Company by letter signed by the President or the Financial Secretary of the Union. Newly hired employees in the Skilled Trades jobs will commence paying Skilled Trades Council dues only after completion of their probationary period. Thereafter, in the January of succeeding years or upon completion of one months' work in a calendar year the Company shall deduct the amount of dues certified to it by the Union and remit such dues to the Union.

The first such deduction will be made from the employee's first pay following completion of their probationary period. Thereafter deductions will be made in January of each succeeding calendar year. These deductions along with the names of the employees shall be remitted to the Financial Secretary of the Local Union, who will forward the dues to the Skilled Trades Area Council.

These deductions along with the names of the employees shall be remitted to the Financial Secretary of the Union.

Thereafter, deductions will be made in the third week of January of each succeeding calendar year. These deductions along with the names of the employees shall be remitted to the Financial Secretary of the Local Union, who will forward the dues to the Windsor &Essex County Area Skilled Trades Council.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • Council Tax Payment of Council tax will normally be the responsibility of the Tenants in the Property. However, landlords should be aware that where a property is empty, let as holiday accommodation, or let as a house in multiple occupation (HMO) responsibility for payment of council tax then rests with the owner of the Property.

  • Labor-Management Cooperation When an Appointing Authority initiates a planning process or management study which is anticipated to result in layoff, the Appointing Authority will meet and confer with the Local Union during the decision planning phase and again during the implementation planning phase. The Appointing Authority and the Local Union shall enter into negotiations regarding a Memoranda of Understanding upon request of either party to modify this Agreement regarding the implementation plans which shall include, but are not limited to, the following: • Length of layoff notice; • Job and retraining opportunities; • Alternative placement methods; • Early retirement options pursuant to M.S. 43A.24, Subd. 2(i); • Bumping/vacancy options for part-time employees to preserve their insurance eligibility or contribution; and • Other methods of mitigating layoff or their effect on employees.

  • LABOR/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES Section 1. Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.

  • Union Bargaining Committees ‌ A union bargaining committee shall consist of employees who are representatives of the Union together with the President of the Union or designate. The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of members of the staff of the Union when negotiating with the Employer.

  • Traditional Medicine Cooperation 1. The aims of Traditional Medicine cooperation will be: (a) to build on existing agreements or arrangements already in place for Traditional Medicine cooperation; and (b) to promote information exchanges on Traditional Medicine between the Parties. 2. In pursuit of the objectives in Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) encouraging dialogue on Traditional Medicine policies and promotion of respective Traditional Medicine; (b) raising awareness of active effects of Traditional Medicine; (c) encouraging exchange of experience in conservation and restoration of Traditional Medicine; (d) encouraging exchange of experience on management, research and development for Traditional Medicine; (e) encouraging cooperation in the Traditional Medicine education field, mainly through training programs and means of communication; (f) having a consultation mechanism between the Parties' Traditional Medicine authorities; (g) encouraging cooperation in Traditional Medicine therapeutic services and products manufacturing; and (h) encouraging cooperation in research in the fields of Traditional Medicine in order to contribute in efficacy and safety assessments of natural resources and products used in health care.

  • Occupational Health & Safety Committee The parties agree to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and any other federal, provincial or municipal health and safety legislation and regulations. Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Employer agrees to accept as a member of its Occupational Health and Safety Committee, one representative selected or appointed by the Association from the bargaining unit. Such committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions relating to occupational health and safety. Meetings shall be held every third month or more frequently if mutually agreed. The Committee shall maintain minutes of all meetings and make the same available for review.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 18.01 A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE In order to encourage open communication, promote harmonious labor relations, and resolve matters of mutual concern, the parties agree to create a joint labor- management committee. The committee will be governed by the following principles:
