Residential Tenancies Act. The Landlord agrees to invest the security deposit only in deposit receipts, deposit notes, certificates of deposit, acceptances or other similar instruments issued by or guaranteed as to principal and interest by a bank, credit union, loan corporation, treasury branch, trust corporation or insurance company authorized to carry on business in Alberta. If the Landlord is entitled, under the Residential Tenancies Act or this Agreement, to money in a security deposit trust account, the money may be withdrawn from the trust account and transferred to the Landlord.
Residential Tenancies Act. 1.1 The Landlord and the Tenant are legally bound to comply with the provisions of the Residential Tenancies Xxx 0000 and the associated Regulations. An agreement or arrangement that is inconsistent with this Act or purports to exclude, modify or restrict the operation of this Act, is (unless the inconsistency, exclusion, modification or restriction is expressly permitted under this Act) to that extent void.
Residential Tenancies Act. The Tenant shall comply, as far as it is liable to as Tenant, with all the requirements and the laws and ordinances of or in force in Canada or the Province of Newfoundland, or of any municipal by-law, including without limitation under The Residential Tenancies Act, as amended (the “Act”). The terms of this Lease Agreement are in addition to those implied covenants of the Landlord and the Tenant set forth under the Act and where any term hereof is contrary to such implied covenants, the Act shall be paramount in all respects. Any such contrary provision hereof shall be deemed amended to comply with the Act and such contrary covenant, whether illegal or otherwise, shall not affect the enforceability of the remainder of this Agreement.
Residential Tenancies Act. As the living accommodation is provided by Woodsworth College Residence to its students or staff, all major questions relating to the living accommodations are decided after consultation with a council within the residence and, the living accommodations are not intended for year-round occupancy or living accommodation and do not contain their own self-contained bathroom and kitchen facilities, the residence is exempt from the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (RTA) based on S. 5 (g) of the RTA.
Residential Tenancies Act. The tenancy created by this agreement is subject to the Act. If there is an inconsistency between the provisions of the Act and this agreement, the provisions of the Act will prevail.
Residential Tenancies Act. Any item or condition added to this Agreement that contravenes any of the provisions of the Residential Tenancies Act, Alberta, as amended from time to time is void and of no force and effect and shall be severed from this Agreement without affecting the remainder.
Residential Tenancies Act. NT Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act: Financial Management Act; and Return to Work Act. Schedules to this Agreement include, but are not limited to: financial contributions; and transitional provisions.

The period from 1 July 2018 to 31 December 2018 is a period prescribed for the purposes of sub-clause 18(e) of the Agreement for which it is not reasonably practicable for the Northern Territory to have a publicly available strategy.
