Re-Employment After Leave of Absence. After an approved leave of absence, an employee shall be returned to the position held at the time when the leave was requested, or to a similar position. If an employee is granted a leave of absence for educational purposes, that employee will be given first opportunity for any job opening which occurs in the same or a similar classification to that previously held, and for which the employee is qualified.

  • Unpaid Leave of Absence If an employee is on an unpaid leave of absence, then vacation leave, compensatory time, or sick leave cannot be used for the purpose of maintaining eligibility for an Employer Contribution by keeping the employee on a State payroll for one (1) working day per pay period.
