Public Notice of Non-discrimination. The recipient must notify members, community beneficiaries, applicants, program staff, and the public, including those with impaired vision or hearing, that it operates its program or activity subject to the non-discrimination requirements applicable to their program found at §§ 175 and 176(f) of the NCSA or § 417 of the DVSA, and relevant program regulations found at 45 CFR Parts 2540 (AmeriCorps State and National), 2551 (Senior Companion Program), 2552 (Xxxxxx Grandparent Program), 2553 (RSVP), and 2556 (AmeriCorps VISTA). The notice must summarize the requirements, note the availability of compliance information from the recipient and CNCS, and briefly explain procedures for filing discrimination complaints with CNCS. Reasonable Accommodation for Members with Disabilities AmeriCorps encourages individuals with disabilities to participate as national service providers through the AmeriCorps programs. AmeriCorps prohibits any form of discrimination against persons with disabilities in recruitment, as well as in service. Contractor and its subcontractors shall give written notice of their obligations under this clause to labor organizations with which they have a collective bargaining or other agreement. (See Cal. Sections 49 CFR 21 through Appendix C (2016) and 23 CFR 710.405(b) (2016) are applicable by reference in all contracts and subcontracts financed in whole or in part with Federal-aid highway funds. The CONSULTANT further agrees to furnish reports to the LOCAL AUTHORITY or DEPARTMENT upon request for the purpose of determining compliance with these statutes identified in this section. The CONSULTANT shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The CONSULTANT shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the performance of this contract. The CONSULTANT shall carry out applicable requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 (2016) in the award and administration of federal-aid contracts. Failure by the CONSULTANT to carry out these requirements is a material breach of this contract, which may result in the termination of this contract or such other remedy as the DEPARTMENT deems appropriate. During the performance of this contract, the CONSULTANT, for itself, its assignees and successors in interest agrees as follows:

  • NON-DISCRIMINATION REQUIREMENTS To the extent required by Article 15 of the Executive Law (also known as the Human Rights Law) and all other State and Federal statutory and constitutional non-discrimination provisions, the Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, genetic predisposition or carrier status, or marital status. If this is a building service Agreement as defined in Section 230 of the Labor Law, then, in accordance with Section 239 thereof, Contractor agrees that neither it nor its subcontractors shall, by reason of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex or disability: (a) discriminate in hiring against any New York State citizen who is qualified and available to perform the work; or (b) discriminate against or intimidate any employee hired for the performance of work under this contract. Contractor is subject to fines of $50.00 per person per day for any violation of Section 220-e or Section 239 as well as possible termination of this Agreement and forfeiture of all moneys due hereunder for a second subsequent violation.

  • Compliance with Non-Discrimination Requirements During the performance of this Agreement, Company, for itself, its assignees, successors in interest, subcontractors and consultants agrees as follows:

  • NON-DISCRIMINATION/HARASSMENT 3.01 Both the Company and the Union are committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination and harassment. Employees must not engage in discrimination or harassment because of prohibited ground contrary to the Ontario Human Rights Code (the “Code”). Prohibited grounds are race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, record of offenses, marital status, family status or handicap, as defined in the Code. With respect to all laws, regulations, procedures and practices regarding government procurement covered by this Chapter, each Party shall provide immediately and unconditionally to the goods, services and suppliers of another Party a treatment no less favourable than that accorded by it to domestic goods, services and suppliers.

  • Non-Discrimination Ordinance Contractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, gender expression, gender identity, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, or disability in the solicitation, selection, hiring or treatment of subcontractors, vendors or suppliers. Contractor shall provide equal opportunity for subcontractors to participate in subcontracting opportunities. Contractor understands and agrees that violation of this clause shall be considered a material breach of the Contract and may result in Contract termination, debarment, or other sanctions. Contractor shall ensure that this language is included in contracts between Contractor and any subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
