PTA Meetings Sample Clauses

PTA Meetings. All such meetings are voluntary. Teachers with evening responsibilities that preclude their attendance at these meetings may be absent. The Administration and Union wish to make the general statement that these meetings are an important avenue through which the professional staff can interpret constructively the schools program to the community, and we jointly recommend that teachers try to attend.
PTA Meetings. Teachers are encouraged to join, support, and attend the meetings of the Parent-Teacher Association. Teachers shall attend back-to-school meetings, meetings when conferences are scheduled with parents, meetings when classroom visitations are the major part of the program, or other meetings the program of which requires their active participation. When a teacher is unable to attend a PTA meeting which involves parent conferences, he or she shall establish an alternate plan for meeting with those parents who desire to take advantage of such a plan. This plan must be approved by the principal, and the parents of all the teacher’s students shall be notified of the alternate plan. Teachers assigned to more than one school are encouraged to establish alternate plans for parent conferences for each of the PTA’s involved on a rotating basis unless circumstances require more attention in a particular school.
PTA Meetings. The Board agrees that it should make every effort to make these meetings more meaningful
PTA Meetings. PTA meetings should be recognized by members of the licensed teaching staff as a professional responsibility. Attendance at PTA meetings will not be mandatory. Licensed teachers will make a reasonable effort to attend the annual Fall Open House in their building. A licensed teacher, not able to attend the annual Fall Open House, will make a reasonable effort to inform the building administrator.
PTA Meetings. All teachers will be required to attend Open House during the fall semester. Teachers will attend two (2) additional PTA meetings or PTA sponsored activities, as determined by the principal, each year. Principals retain the right to ensure adequate staff representation at each meeting or activity.
PTA Meetings. Nurses’ attendance at PTA meetings provides a vital link in promoting the total educational program to the parents. It gives an opportunity for parents and nurses to explore jointly their responsibility to their children and to public education. Nurses should be present when the nature of the program indicates a need for their participation. Should professional or personal responsibilities conflict, the problem should be resolved with the local principal. Nurses are encouraged to participate in the activities of their PTAs.
