Payment of Accrued Leave. Where an employee ceases duty in the APS, they will receive payment in lieu, calculated at the employee’s final rate of salary and allowances considered as salary for all purposes as at the date of exit, of: unused accrued annual leave credits; and unused LSL in accordance with: the Long Service Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1976; or the Long Service Leave Act 1976 (ACT) for employees who transitioned from the former Xxxxxx–Xxxxxxx Basin Commission. Higher Duties Allowance is included as salary for payment in lieu of annual leave where the temporary reassignment of duties would have continued beyond the date of termination.
