JOINT DIVERSITY COMMITTEE. The Publisher and the Guild are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, focusing on women and members of traditionally underrepresented groups, including, but not limited to, Black, Latino, Asian American, Native and LGBTQ people, for the positions covered by this Agreement. The company will make a concerted effort to have a diverse applicant pool and to interview diverse candidates for each job. A joint diversity committee, comprised of up to four representatives each from labor and management, will meet at least once a quarter. It will discuss diversity, equity, inclusion, recruitment, retention, promotions, and career development and other related issues. The goal of these meetings is to collaboratively identify challenges and develop approaches and actionable steps to improve diversity, equity and inclusion at the Star Tribune. The committee will make recommendations to the Editor, who will attend at least one meeting of the joint committee a year. A professional facilitator will support the work group and its meetings as needed. At joint diversity committee meetings, management will share updates on the demographics of new hires and departures within the last quarter. It will also provide information, as much as it is aware, of the diversity of applicant pools and candidates interviewed for each opening. Working groups within the newsroom will provide updates to the joint committee. One of those working groups will include the hiring advisory committee. That committee will include bargaining unit employees and will continue to meet and advise on developing, refining and monitoring recruiting and hiring practices for the newsroom to ensure transparency and equity, with an aim of increasing diversity. The Guild may request an annual census on newsroom demographics that includes race/ethnicity, gender, the wages of bargaining unit employees. On an annual basis, the company will share the demographics of the newsroom, including leadership roles, on xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx or xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx.

  • Staffing Committee A. Responsibilities. The Nurse Staffing Committee (“NSC”) shall be responsible for determining the Institute’s staffing plan and resolving complaints raised by nurses regarding the implementation of the plan as well as those activities required of it under RCW 70.41, et seq and its successors.

  • Study Committee The parties shall utilize the Benefits Advisory Committee, with equal membership by the State and the VSEA, for the purpose of reviewing all issues related to health care and prescription drugs, and recommending changes to the bargaining committees. The parties shall also establish a special study committee to evaluate the current health plans, and make recommendations to the bargaining committees of the State and employees for sustainable savings in the health care plans.

  • Joint Safety Committee (a) The Union and the Company shall cooperate in selecting one or more Safety Committees, which will meet at least once a month to consider all safety and occupational health problems.

  • JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE 5.01 A Joint Advisory Committee shall operate during the term of this agreement consisting of one (1) employee representative from each location and up to an equal number of employer representatives who shall meet at least once every six (6) months to discuss working conditions, economy of operation, quality and quantity of service, safety and health, workplace stress, violence and abuse prevention, and other matters to promote an ongoing harmonious relationship between the Employer and its employees. The Joint Advisory Committee shall meet at the request of either party. The full-time Union Representative may attend said meetings. All time spent attending Joint Advisory Committee meetings by employees shall be considered time worked but time spent at “pre-meetings” will not be considered time worked.

  • Joint Committee 1. The Contracting Parties shall establish a Joint Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”) with a view to accomplishing the objectives of this Agreement. The functions of the Committee shall be:

  • Safety Committee 62.1 Where a Health and Safety Committee is established on a job in accordance with section 72 of the OHS Act, it shall include the Employer’s Site Safety Supervisor and the Health and Safety Representative/s.

  • Operating Committee the Consortium’s managing body, composed of representatives of the Manager and the Contractors, pursuant to Annex XI.

  • Education Committee (a) The Employer will establish an Education Committee for all employees in the facility, which shall include at least one representative from ONA members.

  • Advisory Committee The Settling State shall designate an Opioid Settlement Remediation Advisory Committee (the “Advisory Committee”) to provide input and recommendations regarding remediation spending from that Settling State’s Abatement Accounts Fund. A Settling State may elect to use an existing advisory committee or similar entity (created outside of a State-Subdivision Agreement or Allocation Statute); provided, however, the Advisory Committee or similar entity shall meet the following requirements:

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.
