Environmental approval. A finding that the design or change to a design of a civil aeronautical product meets applicable standards concerning noise, fuel venting or exhaust emissions.
Environmental approval. The Owner shall comply with, and satisfy the terms and conditions contained in, the environmental approval attached hereto as Schedule C.

The Contractor shall acknowledge that they have reviewed and understand the terms and conditions of the Environmental Approval obtained by the Department from Nova Scotia Environment for the work to be performed under the Contract, a copy of which will be available from the Project Engineer. The Contractor shall be required to assume, observe, perform and be bound by all of the Department’s obligations and liabilities under the Approval (subject to any amendments or additions made thereto by the Minister of Environment) by executing the Assignment Indenture, a copy of which will be available from the Project Engineer. Notwithstanding anything else contained herein or the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal’s Standard Specification dated February 1, 1997 (including latest revisions), the Contractor shall be advised that the awarding of the Contract will be subject to and conditional upon receipt by the Department of the Minister of Environment’s consent to the assignment of the Approval to the Contractor. No work will be permitted until such consent has been received by the Department and the Contractor has been notified by the Department that the work may be commenced. The Contractor shall be notified by the Department in writing whether or not the Minister of Environment has consented to the assignment within 7 days of receipt by the Department of the signed Assignment Indenture. In the event the Minister of Environment does not consent to the assignment, the Department reserves the right to award the Contract to another bidder.
Environmental approval. Parent shall have received the results of its environmental site assessments of the Company's and the Subsidiaries' operations and real properties currently or formerly owned, leased or used by the Company or any Subsidiary, and such results shall not have identified (i) any contamination of ground water, surface water or sediment, (ii) any significant contamination of soil or surfaces, or (iii) any other environmental, health and safety concerns requiring cleanup or decontamination or otherwise posing a risk to human health or the environment, whether or not such matters are known by Parent prior to the date hereof or contained in the Company Letter; provided, however, that this condition shall be deemed satisfied if the matters described in each of (i), (ii) or (iii) do not, or will not reasonably be expected to, result in liabilities to the Company, or to the Parent or Surviving Corporation after the Effective Time, in excess of $2,000,000, based on the reasonable determination of Parent.

  • Environmental Requirements C7.1 The Contractor shall, when working on the Premises, perform its obligations under the Contract in accordance with the Authority’s environmental policy, which is to conserve energy, water, wood, paper and other resources, reduce waste and phase out the use of ozone depleting substances and minimise the release of greenhouse gases, volatile organic compounds and other substances damaging to health and the environment.
