Entitlement - Others. Those employees working other than a continuous shift are entitled to a holiday with pay on each of the following Statutory Holidays, providing such holiday falls on, or is observed, Monday to Friday inclusive: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Truth and Reconciliation Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day British Columbia Day and any other day proclaimed or declared by the Dominion or Provincial Government or the Municipal Council as a holiday. When one of these Statutory Holidays falls on an employee’s normal day off, an employee shall receive a day off with pay in lieu of such holiday. Fire Prevention, Mechanics, and Training staff who work a compressed work week may elect to accumulate Statutory Holidays that occur on their designated day of rest. Day staff, including mechanics, will be permitted to rotate their work week, enabling them to bank Statutory Holidays. All Statutory Holidays as referred to herein are to be taken off in the year in which they occur.

  • Entitlements Every employee

  • Entitlement For the purpose of calculating six days per calendar year, one day shall be considered to be one day regardless of the regularly scheduled workday. Calculation for part-time employees and partial days will be on a prorated basis.

  • Basic entitlement (a) After twelve months continuous service, parents are entitled to a combined total of 52 weeks unpaid parental leave on a shared basis in relation to the birth or adoption of their child. For females, maternity leave may be taken and for males, paternity leave may be taken. Adoption leave may be taken in the case of adoption.

  • Entitlement to Other Sick Leave Each employee in the bargaining unit shall once a year be credited with a total of 100 days sick leave in addition to the sick leave provided under Section 13.4.1 of this Article. Each day of sick leave provided by this Section shall be compensated at the rate of fifty (50) percent of the employee’s regular salary. The paid sick leave provided for under this Section shall be in addition to any other paid leave provided for in this Article and shall be used after the exhaustion of the leaves provided in Sections 13.4. The leave in this Section shall not be accumulative.

  • Leave Entitlements (a) A sessional practitioner shall be entitled to pro rata leave entitlements in the same ratio as the number of sessions allocated bears to 10. If during any qualifying period the number of sessions allocated to a sessional practitioner varies, the number shall be averaged over the qualifying period.

  • Interaction with Other Leave Entitlements (a) An employee proceeding on unpaid Maternity Leave may elect to substitute any part of that leave with accrued annual and/or accrued long service leave.

  • Overtime Entitlement (a) An employee will be entitled to compensation for authorized overtime in excess of:

  • Access to Other Leave Entitlements F19.20 An employee on grandparental leave may access annual leave, purchased leave or long service leave.

  • Other leave entitlements (a) An employee proceeding on unpaid parental leave may elect to substitute any part of that leave with long service leave, or annual leave where applicable, for the whole or part of the period of unpaid parental leave.

  • Vacation Entitlements In case of discharge or resignation, the employee shall receive all vacation entitlements and salary due to the date of termination, except as provided in Articles 33.05 and 33.07.
