Upon approval by the Company, the Company shall reimburse the employee upon completion of the course. The cost of Trades Qualification Exams will be paid by the Company. Employees shall be paid their regular rate of pay for completing their driver’s examination when required by the Company for the purposes of employment or any doctor’s examinations in connection therewith.

In order to qualify for reimbursement, the employee must receive approval from the Company in advance of taking the course and must successfully complete the course.

Where an employee cannot attend weekend or evening classes, due to shift scheduling, then the Company shall pay the employee for all hours missed while attending First Aid courses. When attending out of town courses, employees shall be paid maximum of eight (8) hours per day at straight time for all travel time.

The company shall surrender all certificates earned by employees for the purpose of complying with any request for proof of certification.
EDUCATION FOR UPGRADING. The parties agree that education is the key to the advancement of the Compressor Division with its clients. To this part the employer is committed to advance the education of its technicians as a priority. Training will generally be planned in advance. The parties further agree to jointly develop a training plan that is targeted to the needs of the technicians. The current 40 hour training regiment will be made available on an annual basis or the employer will provide a 53rd week of payroll to payout the 40 hours or remaining balance thereof.
