Shift Scheduling. The parties agree that the following shift schedules are examples of the type which will provide the flexibility required to meet the needs expressed above provided the provisions of Article VII Section 4 (b) (i) and (ii) have been met.

Shift Scheduling. (a) Any shift schedule that falls outside the regular hours of work set out in Article V, Section 1 is, by definition, an alternate shift schedule.

Shift Scheduling. It is understood the Parties can negotiate alternate shifts pursuant to the provisions in the following sections C. to F., inclusive.
Shift Scheduling. The Employer agrees that before a schedule of working hours is changed, the change will be discussed with the Union if the change will affect a majority of the employees governed by the schedule. Shift schedules for operations that entail rotating shifts shall be posted in the work area at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance of the starting date of the new schedule. Shift schedules shall indicate the work requirements for each affected employee for a minimum of twenty-eight (28) days. Except in the event of emergency, or by mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee, when an employee's work schedule is revised without five (5) calendar days notice, the employee shall be compensated at the rate of time and one-half (1 for the first full shift worked on the new schedule. Subsequent shifts worked on the new schedule shall be paid for at the straight time rate. The Employer agrees that it shall not schedule split shifts. Employees shall not be required to work more than seven (7) consecutive shifts between days off and it shall be the intent to assign less than the maximum. Except in cases of emergency, or by mutual agreement between the employee and the Employer, shift schedules for regular employees shall provide for:
Shift Scheduling. Both parties recognize that scheduling will be necessary to ensure coverage of key positions. The primary consideration for implementing shift scheduling will be determined by the business needs of the Employer. Shift scheduling will be done on a voluntary basis in order of seniority. If an insufficient number of employees volunteer to work the shift schedule, the Employer may assign appropriate personnel who have completed their probationary period. Assignments will be made on the basis of seniority with the least senior employee in the job classification being assigned. Temporary employees who have been employed ninety (90) calendar days may be assigned the shift schedule.
