Early Start Times. With the exception of snow operations (sanding, plowing and snow removal events), in the event an employee is scheduled or called in early to work within twelve (12) hours prior to a regular shift start time (“called in”), said employee shall be paid at a rate equal to one and one half times their hourly rate. Two hour minimums will apply only when called-in versus when previously scheduled to come in early with at least 12 hours notice. All examples below assume a 7:00 a.m. regular shift start time. Early Start Times. For the purposes of this agreement, early start times for the summer months, will be from mid-November to mid March. The change-over dates will be on the closest applicable Monday. During the period of early start times, the normal day shift work hours will be 6.00am to 2.30pm. Employees may elect to commence work at 7.00am, but this is contingent on the business having the skills and supportive xxxxxxx required to operate the critical processes and equipment (e.g. paint line, turret press, multicam, CNC brake press maintenance and dispatch). The employer reserves the right to change the list of critical processes and equipment if required, in consultation with the team involved. Once an employee has made the election of a starting time, this selection can only be changed with the prior agreement of the employer. The employees commit to support Southern Technology Pty Ltd to utilise the spread of hours as and when deemed necessary by the employer. It is noted that this will include restructuring of work teams and / or training of certain employees as may be necessary to ensure that there will be enough people on the relevant teams with the necessary skills who are willing and able to the work the required hours.
