Compensation for Additional Responsibilities. When an employee is assigned by his/her supervisor to complete responsibilities in addition to their current responsibilities, the employee or supervisor, on behalf of the employee, may request additional compensation. The responsibilities must be initiated by the supervisor or college administration, and must be significant in time, duration, or difference from current responsibilities to be eligible for compensation (i. e, requires a change in job description). The union will be notified when additional pay is requested and any compensation granted pursuant to this provision will be upon mutual agreement of the employee, union and college. Approved extra pay, up to three (3) percent of the employee’s base salary, shall be calculated from when the pay was requested, with up to a maximum of sixty (60 calendar days of retroactive pay allowed.
