Care of the Dog. You agree that this Dog is being adopted as a family member and will be given extensive house privileges; i.e. sleep inside the house, be allowed freedom of the house when the family is home, and will NOT be restricted to the yard at any time. You agree to provide the Dog with fresh water, wholesome dog food, adequate outdoor exercise, affection and shelter. You also agree that the Dog will not be used as a guard animal, or for any purpose other than as a companion and friend to you and your family. No alteration to the animal’s appearance is permitted (i.e. docking of tails, ears).

Care of the Dog. The Adopter understands that the adopted dog is an indoor pet, and agrees to allow it full access to the home. The Adopter agrees to provide the dog with fresh water, wholesome food, adequate exercise and loving attention.
Care of the Dog. The adopter understands that Homeward Bound has invested considerable resources (financial and otherwise) to rescue this dog and help them find a loving and permanent home. The adopter agrees to the following terms for the dog’s protection and the success of the adoption:
Care of the Dog. The Fosterer agrees to provide a safe, supportive and educational home for the Dog from the date of this Agreement until the Dog is either (1) formally adopted in to a home in accordance with HMDD procedures, (2) reclaimed by HMDD, or (3) is returned to the custody and care of HMDD by the Fosterer. The Fosterer must keep possession of the Dog at all times, and may not transfer the obligations to care for the Dog to any other person. Proper care of the Dog shall include, but is not limited to the following:
Care of the Dog.  You agree to provide the Dog with free run of your house, fresh water, and wholesome dog food.  You agree to provide adequate outdoor exercise either in an protected enclosed outdoor area or by leash walking..  You agree to never allow the Dog to roam free unsupervised.  You agree to treat the Dog as a household pet, companion and family member.  You agree to never chain the Dog.  You agree to never leave the Dog crated for more than 6 consecutive daytime hours or 8 nighttime hours.  You agree to never leave the Dog unsupervised outside if the Dog is a digger or climber.  You agree to never use the Dog for dog fighting or any other “sport” in which one animal is pitted against another.  You agree to never inflict or allow the infliction of physical or corporal punishment on this dog or taunt the Dog in any way whatsoever.  You agree to never use or allow the Dog to be used to facilitate hunting, whether as a retriever or a chase animal.  You agree to keep visible identification on the Dog at all times to include the APL tag on the Dog at the time of adoption.  You agree that the Dog is never to ride in the open bed of a pickup truck unless crated in a secured crate.

You will walk the Dog on a leash, or place the Dog in a protected run or other enclosed outdoor area, and NEVER allow the Dog to roam free unsupervised. You will treat the Dog as a household pet, companion and family member and not leave the Dog chained, crated and/or otherwise confined for extended periods of time (more than 4 hours). You agree to never use the Dog for dog fighting or any other “sport” in which one animal is pitted against another, never beat or taunt the Dog in order to promote aggressive “guard dog” characteristics, and never use the Dog to facilitate hunting, whether as a retriever, chase animal or companion engaged in such activity.
Care of the Dog. 50.4.2.1 The Anaheim Police Department shall provide necessary veterinarian visits on-duty or the officer shall be compensated at the appropriate overtime rate of pay for off duty visits in accordance with ARTICLE 42 – GENERAL OVERTIME.

The Adopter agrees to provide the animal with fresh water, wholesome dog food, adequate outdoor exercise, affection and shelter. The Adopter agrees the animal will not be used as a guard animal, for breeding purposes, or for any purpose other than as a companion/friend to you. No alteration to the animal’s appearance is permitted (i.e. docking of tails, ears).
Care of the Dog. You agree to provide the Dog with free run of your house, fresh water, and wholesome dog food. • You agree to provide adequate outdoor exercise either in a protected enclosed outdoor area or by leash walking. • You agree to notify APL if you need food donations for this pet and agree to have someone pick said food up, if possible. • You agree to call APL immediately if this Dog should become lost and to participate in the search for Dog. • You agree that you will not entrust this Dog to the care of anyone else; that you will not give away, sell, trade, abandon or dispose of the Dog and that you will be the primary caregiver under this Seniors for Life Program. • You agree to call your APL contact immediately if this Dog becomes ill or injured. • You agree to transport this Dog to appointments as directed by the shelter manager or his/her representative unless you are unable to do so. In that event, you agree to notify the APL Shelter Manager well in advance of the situation so arrangements can be made. • You agree to return this Dog to APL if directed to do so by the shelter manager or his/her representative. • APL agrees to pay all veterinary expenses, if you are unable to do so, provided illness or injury was not caused by your negligence.

Veterinary Care: The Dog will be examined by your licensed veterinarian within 10 days after adoption and will be provided with medical treatment as needed. You agree to keep all vaccinations current including but not limited to Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHLPP), Bordetella, AND to ensure the Dog receives preventative medication to protect against heartworm if necessary. You agree to provide the best available care to the Dog in a timely manner. Any veterinary problems that may arise, including serious illness requiring emergency care or surgery is your responsibility and you are responsible for all related costs. Safe Environment: Where applicable, adopter will provide a secure fenced yard, with ample room for outdoor exercise. If fencing needs repair or modification in order to ensure the safety and well-being of the Dog, you agree to make any necessary repairs prior to allowing Adoptee access to the yard. You agree to maintain the security of the fencing in the future to further secure the Dog. Adopter understands that gardeners, pool men, contractors and utility workers are not responsible for the safety of the Dog, therefore adoptee must be kept indoors when workmen have access to the yard.
