Periods of Time. Whenever in this Agreement there is a period of time specified for the giving of notices or the taking of action, the period shall be calculated excluding the day on which the giver sends notice and excluding the day on which action to be taken is actually taken.

Periods of Time during which an employee was on approved leave of absence, sick leave, Employment Insurance, Long Term Disability or Workers Compensation Benefits, will not be counted as time worked for the purpose of calculating the severance pay.
