Calculation of Teaching Experience a) i) Effective January 1, 1998, only teaching time as a regular day school, elementary or secondary, public, reserve, or separate school Teacher in Canada (excluding occasional, continuing education and instructional Teachers) will be recognized as qualified teaching experience for salary schedule purposes. The onus is on the Teacher to provide the Board with satisfactory documentation prior to being placed at the appropriate step on the grid.

Calculation of Teaching Experience. 7.01 All previous teaching experience in Ontario under the following conditions, prior to employment with the School Authority, shall be granted full recognition in compliance with the salary grid up to the maximum annual salary for the appropriate category level:

Calculation of Teaching Experience. The Board shall accept teaching experience from outside the province from provincially funded schools. The acceptance of any other teaching experience for salary purposes shall be at the discretion of the Board and Supervisory Officer. If any portion of a prospective teacher’s prior teaching experience is not acceptable for salary purposes, the teacher must be notified before he/she accepts a position with the Xxxxxxx and Ponsford District School Area Board. It is the responsibility of the teacher to provide proof of teaching experience to the Board and Supervisory Officer.
Calculation of Teaching Experience. The calculation of years of teaching experience to be credited for salary calculation for long-term occasionals will be made annually and will be determined by calculating the total years of teaching experience to the end of June in the day school program in elementary and secondary schools in Ontario. Only experience as a probationary/permanent teacher and experience as a long-term occasional for periods of twenty (20) or more consecutive days of teaching shall be credited. Continuing Education teaching experience with the Rainbow District School Board which commenced on or after September 1, 1999 will be recognized at the rate of one month of teaching experience per continuing education credit taught. The total number of complete teaching months ie. periods of twenty (20) or more consecutive days of teaching shall be divided by ten (10). Periods of teaching experience of less than one month will be accumulated and rounded to complete months on the basis of (twenty) 20 days per month. Where the remainder in such division is 5 months or greater, an additional year will be granted.

  • Expert Determination If a Dispute relates to any aspect of the technology underlying the provision of the Goods and/or Services or otherwise relates to a financial technical or other aspect of a technical nature (as the Parties may agree) and the Dispute has not been resolved by discussion or mediation, then either Party may request (which request will not be unreasonably withheld or delayed) by written notice to the other that the Dispute is referred to an Expert for determination. The Expert shall act on the following basis: he/she shall act as an expert and not as an arbitrator and shall act fairly and impartially; the Expert's determination shall (in the absence of a material failure to follow the agreed procedures) be final and binding on the Parties; the Expert shall decide the procedure to be followed in the determination and shall be requested to make his/her determination within thirty (30) Working Days of his appointment or as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter and the Parties shall assist and provide the documentation that the Expert requires for the purpose of the determination; any amount payable by one Party to another as a result of the Expert's determination shall be due and payable within twenty (20) Working Days of the Expert's determination being notified to the Parties; the process shall be conducted in private and shall be confidential; and the Expert shall determine how and by whom the costs of the determination, including his/her fees and expenses, are to be paid.
