Years Experience. Total years of teaching earned in any province or territory of Canada while certified as a Teacher and while employed as a Teacher will be taken into account when calculating grid placement for new Teachers hired by the Board. This includes occasional or supply teaching done for the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (and predecessor Boards) in blocks of twenty (20) or more consecutive full teaching days. A Teacher may acquire recognized teaching experience from a number of sources as described in this agreement. The total accumulated experience for seniority, grid placement, or any other purpose under this agreement, shall not exceed 1.0 year for each twelve month period. A Teacher, or the LBU, may question the accuracy of the placement on the seniority list within twenty (20) teaching days of the posting of the seniority list, and furnish the Board with a written copy of the notification, failing which, the Teacher and the LBU shall be deemed to have accepted the placement on the seniority list.
