SECTION 108. 13 Employees who change job classifications within the bargaining unit shall retain their hire dates in the 14 previous classification for a period of two (2) years, notwithstanding that they have acquired a new 15 hire date and a new classification. In the event of a layoff, the two (2) years referred to in the 16 immediately preceding sentence shall be extended up to three (3) additional years.
