Section 109. 14 Employees on layoff status shall file their addresses in writing with the personnel office of the District 15 and shall thereafter promptly advise the District in writing of any change of address.

Section 109. 20 In the event of layoff, employees so affected are to be placed on a reemployment list maintained by the 21 District according to layoff ranking. Such employees are to have priority over outside applicants in filling 22 an opening in the classification held immediately prior to layoff. Names shall remain on the 23 reemployment list for two (2) years.
Section 109. 24 The District shall publicize within the bargaining unit for five (5) working days the availability of open 25 positions as soon as possible after the District is apprised of the opening. A copy of the job posting 26 shall be forwarded to the President of the Association and to the Association representative of the 27 classification concerned. Temporary positions vacated by leave of absence and positions vacated by 28 other District employees to fill in for those actually on leaves of absence shall not be considered open 29 positions. All other positions vacated by transfer or otherwise shall be treated as open positions and 30 posted in accordance with this section.
Section 109. 34 An employee shall forfeit rights to reemployment as provided in Section 10.8 if the employee does not 35 comply with the requirements of the Article, or if the employee does not respond to the offer of 36 reemployment within five (5) calendar days if the offer of reemployment is made during the school year 37 or during the two (2) weeks prior to the start of the school year. If the offer of reemployment is made 38 when school is not in session, or more than two (2) weeks prior to the start of the school year, the 39 employee shall have ten (10) calendar days to respond.
Section 109. 44 In the event of layoff, employees so affected are to be placed on a reemployment list maintained by the 45 District according to seniority within the classifications affected by such layoff. In the event that the 46 District re-establishes the layoff positions or makes additional classified positions available, such 47 employees are to have priority, by seniority, in filling any opening within the classification(s) held 48 prior to layoff. Names shall remain on the reemployment list for one (1) year.
