Suspension of Services definition

Suspension of Services means an agency's direct access to DCIN is suspended for a period not to exceed two weeks after the North Carolina CSO's finding of fault, and the agency head must then appear before the CSO to respond to the cited violation. This suspension may be limited to certain files or may include a complete suspension of services, depending on the administrative procedure violated. The agency is subject to a re-audit after 90 days of reinstatement. Further violations of the same regulation, within two years from the date of the suspension, or failure to appear before the CSO to respond to the cited violation is grounds to cancel the user agreement with the agency.

They are obligated to report to the proper authorities any evidence of physical or sexual abuse or neglect of minors, elders, or vulnerable adults; or any direct threat to harm oneself or another person.

Continuous Service Status as an Employee or Consultant shall not be considered interrupted in the case of: (i) sick leave; (ii) military leave; (iii) any other leave of absence approved by the Administrator, provided that such leave is for a period of not more than ninety (90) days, unless reemployment upon the expiration of such leave is guaranteed by contract or statute, or unless provided otherwise pursuant to Company policy adopted from time to time; or (iv) in the case of transfers between locations of the Company or between the Company, its Parents, Subsidiaries, Affiliates or their respective successors. A change in status from an Employee to a Consultant or from a Consultant to an Employee will not constitute an interruption of Continuous Service Status.
