Mandated Reporters definition

Mandated Reporters means any school personnel who has reason to believe that a vulnerable adult is being or has been maltreated.
Mandated Reporters means those individuals required to report suspected child abuse or neglect to the Department. A list of these persons and their associated responsibilities is provided in Section 300.30 of this Part.
Mandated Reporters means those persons who are required to report pursuant to § 63.2-1606 of the Code of Virginia when such persons have reason to suspect that an adult is abused, neglected, or exploited or is at risk of adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

Mandated Reporters Under the Clery ActThe Jeanne Clery Act defines a Campus Security Authority (CSA) as an individual with "significant responsibility for student and campus activities." This effectively includes employees of a Campus Safety Services department, other individuals with campus security responsibility, and other officials who work closely with students in areas such as athletics, health care, and student life.

PROCEDURE: Staff members classified as Mandated Reporters are subject to mandatory reporting requirements by Federal, State and local law and are required to undergo training that includes recognition and proper reporting procedures for sexual, physical, emotional and psychological abuse of children.

Mandated Reporters under CANRA are responsible for reporting the incident themselves.

All employees of PTI (with the exception of student employees or temp agency employees) are Mandated Reporters and must promptly share with the Title IX Coordinator all known details of a report made to them in the course of their employment.Employees must also promptly share all details of behaviors under this policy that they observe or have knowledge of, even if not reported to them by a Complainant or third-party.

Mandated Reporters include all employees with the exception of those with the designation of Confidential Resource (College Counselors).
