Section 508 Compliance Sample Clauses

Section 508 Compliance. All information technology which, pursuant to this Contract, is purchased or upgraded by or for the use of the University (the “Technology”) shall comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. 794d), as amended. If requested, the Contractor must provide a detailed explanation of how compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act is achieved and a validation of concept demonstration. The requirements of this Paragraph along with the Non-Visual Access to Technology clause below shall be construed to achieve full compliance with the Information Technology Access Act, §§ 2.2-3500 through 2.2-3504 of the Code of Virginia.

Section 508 Compliance. All user interfaces to the solution(s) provided, shall be warranted by the vendor to comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 794d) and the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0, conformance level Double-A or greater.
Section 508 Compliance. The Contractor will comply with section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended and 29 U.S.C. s. 794(d), including the regulations set forth under 36 C.F.R. part 1194. Section 282.601(1), F.S., states that “state government shall, when developing, competitively procuring, maintaining, or using electronic information or information technology acquired on or after July 1, 2006, ensure that State employees with disabilities have access to and are provided with information and data comparable to the access and use by State employees who are not individuals with disabilities.”
Section 508 Compliance. The provider shall support the Government in its compliance with Section 508 throughout the development and implementation of the work to be performed. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. 794d) requires that when federal agencies develop, procure, maintain, or use electronic information technology, federal employees with disabilities have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to the access and use by federal employees who do not have disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency. Section 508 also requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information or services from a federal agency, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency. Section 508 Compliance. The contractor shall ensure that any Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) procured at the task/delivery order level shall meet the applicable accessibility standards at 36 CFR 1194, if applicable. 36 CFR 1194 implements Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Section 508 Compliance. According to the Department of Health and Human Services synopsis of Section 508 accessibility requirements, Federal agencies are obligated to make all electronic and information technology (EIT) that they develop, maintain or use compliant with Section 508. EIT purchases made on or after June 25, 2001, are subject to Section 508. It should be noted that other Federal regulations and guidelines (e.g., Section 501 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act) require equal access for individuals with disabilities. Therefore, Federal agencies are required, upon request, to provide information and data to individuals with disabilities through an alternative means of access that can be used by the individuals.

Section 508 Compliance. Unless specifically authorized in the Contract, any electronic or information technology offered to the State of Arizona under this Contract shall comply with A.R.S. § 18-131 and § 18-132 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which requires that employees and members of the public shall have access to and use of information technology that is comparable to the access and use by employees and members of the public who are not individuals with disabilities.
Section 508 Compliance. Contractor shall comply with Section 508 requirements regarding software and website accessibility for sight, hearing, and other physically impaired individuals or commit to achieving compliance and outline how they plan to achieve compliance within a reasonable timeframe.
