Provisional Teacher definition

Provisional Teacher means a teacher in his/her first three (3) years of teaching in Washington State or a teacher who has previously completed at least two (2) years of certificated employment in another school district in the state of Washington and who is in his/her first year of teaching in the Cascade School District.
Provisional Teacher means any teacher in a teaching or other nonsupervisory certificated position. Provisional teachers shall be subject to nonrenewal of employment contract as provided in RCW 28A.405.220 during the first three years of employment, unless: (a) the teacher has previously completed at least two (2) consecutive years of certificated employment in another school district in the state of Washington, in which case the teacher shall be subject to nonrenewal of employment contract pursuant to RCW 28A.405.220 during the first year of employment; or (b) the teacher has received an evaluation rating below level two (2) on the four-level rating system established under RCW 28A.405.100 during the third (3rd) year of employment, in which case the teacher shall remain subject to the nonrenewal of the employment contract until the teacher receives a level two (2) rating. This shall include any teacher who is re-employed with the District after a break in service.

  • A Certified Provisional Teacher (“CPT”) is a person who has not yet been appointed, who holds a New York State provisional or permanent certificate, a New York City regular license or a New York City substitute license issued on or before June 30, 1969.

  • Approve the following as per NJDOE Provisional Teacher Process requirements, with the mentoring fee to be paid through the Andover Regional Board of Education, as recommended by the Superintendent of Schools.

  • The hiring school district must enroll the teacher in the CTE CE EPP Provisional Teacher Process (PTP).

  • A Preparatory Provisional Teacher (“PPT”) is a person who has not yet completed all the requirements for New York State provisional certification, but who holds a New York State temporary license.


More Definitions of Provisional Teacher

Provisional Teacher means a teacher in his/her first three (3) years of teaching in Washington State or a teacher who has previously completed at least two (2) years of certificated employment in another school district in the state of Washington and who is in his/her first year of teaching in the Hood Canal School District. Student Growth shall mean the change in student achievement between two points in time within the current school year, as recommended by the teacher and approved by the supervisor. Student Growth Data shall mean assessments used to demonstrate growth that predominately originate at the classroom level and are recommended by the teacher and approved by the supervisor. Assessments used to demonstrate growth must be appropriate, relevant, and may include both formative and summative measures.
Provisional Teacher means any teacher in a teaching or other nonsupervisory certificated position. Nothing in this section defining “provisional teacher” is intended to provide a provisional employee, who the Superintendent has determined should be nonrenewed within his powers under the provisions of RCW 28A.405.220, any additional rights regarding his/her employment status.
Provisional Teacher means a teacher who has not satisfied the requirements for registration and has been granted provisional teacher registration under the provisions of the Education Act 1932, Part IV as amended.
Provisional Teacher means a holder of a provisional two-year certificate issued to candidates who have met requirements for initial employment as part of a State-approved school district training program or residency leading to standard certification.
