Hazardous Substance definition

Hazardous Substance means any substance that is: (i) listed, classified or regulated pursuant to any Environmental Law; (ii) any petroleum product or by-product, asbestos-containing material, lead-containing paint or plumbing, polychlorinated biphenyls, radioactive materials or radon; or (iii) any other substance which is the subject of regulatory action by any Governmental Entity pursuant to any Environmental Law.
Hazardous Substance means any pollutant, contaminant, waste or chemical or any toxic, radioactive, ignitable, corrosive, reactive or otherwise hazardous substance, waste or material, or any substance, waste or material having any constituent elements displaying any of the foregoing characteristics, including any substance, waste or material regulated under any Environmental Law.
Hazardous Substance means: (i) any substance that is regulated or which falls within the definition of a “hazardous substance,” “hazardous waste” or “hazardous materialpursuant to any Environmental Law; or (ii) any petroleum product or by-product, asbestos-containing material, polychlorinated biphenyls, radioactive materials or radon.

  • Release, emit or discharge into the environment any Hazardous Substances in violation of any Environmental Laws, Legal Requirements or Applicable Permits or allow any Hazardous Substance to impact or be present on, in, under or above any Equipment storage sites or improvements on such Equipment storage sites in violation of any Environmental Laws, Legal Requirements, or Applicable Permits, in each case under this Section 6.17, in a manner that could reasonably be expected to have a Material Adverse Effect.


More Definitions of Hazardous Substance

Hazardous Substance means any element, waste or other substance, whether natural or artificial, and whether consisting of gas, liquid, solid or vapour, that is prohibited, listed, defined, judicially interpreted, designated or classified as dangerous, hazardous, radioactive, explosive, toxic, a pollutant or a contaminant under or pursuant to any Environmental Laws.
Hazardous Substance means any substance, material or waste that is characterized or regulated by a Governmental Authority pursuant to any Environmental Law as “hazardous,” “pollutant,” “contaminant,” “toxic” or “radioactive,” including petroleum and petroleum products, polychlorinated biphenyls and friable asbestos.
Hazardous Substance means any substance, material or waste that is characterized or regulated by a Governmental Authority pursuant to any Environmental Law as “hazardous,” “pollutant,” “contaminant,” “toxic” or “radioactive,” or for which liability or standards of conduct may be imposed pursuant to any Environmental Law, including petroleum and petroleum products, polychlorinated biphenyls, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and friable asbestos.
Hazardous Substance means any pollutant, contaminant, hazardous or extremely hazardous substance, or waste, solid waste, asbestos and asbestos-containing material, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and PCB-containing equipment, petroleum or any fraction thereof, or any other chemical, substance, or material listed or identified in or regulated by any Environmental Law.
Hazardous Substance means any materials, chemicals, pollutants, contaminants, wastes, toxic or hazardous substances (a) that are listed, classified or regulated under any Environmental Law as hazardous substance, toxic substance, pollutant, contaminant or oil, (b) whose presence, handling, or management requires registration, authorization, investigation or remediation under Environmental Laws or (c) that are any petroleum product or by product, asbestos containing material, polychlorinated biphenyl, radioactive material, lead, pesticides, natural gas and nuclear fuel.
Hazardous Substance means any hazardous, toxic, explosive or radioactive material, substance, waste or other pollutant that is regulated by, or may give rise to Liability pursuant to, any Environmental Law, including any petroleum products or byproducts, asbestos, lead, polychlorinated biphenyls, per- and poly-fluoroakyl substances, or radon.
Hazardous Substance means any substance listed, defined, designated, classified or regulated as a waste, pollutant or contaminant or as hazardous, toxic, radioactive or dangerous or any other term of similar import under any Environmental Law, including but not limited to petroleum.
