Building Floor Area definition

Building Floor Area means the total of the horizontal areas of a building, as calculated by using the exterior dimensions;
Building Floor Area means the aggregate horizontal floor area measured from the exterior walls of all floors or storeys of a building excluding any floor area located totally below grade or within an uninhabitable attic. The mid-point of a common wall shall be considered the face of the exterior in the case of common walls located on a property line. (By-law 92-232, S.3[a]) (Amended: By-law 2013-138, S.14)
Building Floor Area means that certain improved portion of the Building intended to be leased to retail tenants, as depicted in Exhibit “A,” which portion may be altered, reduced, expanded or replaced from time to time.

  • For purposes of determining the Parcel Square Footage for Assessor’s Parcels for Vertical Lots located on a single Plot of Land, the CFD Administrator shall allocate the Parcel Square Footage for such Plot of Land to each Assessor’s Parcel located on such Plot of Land in proportion to the Building Floor Area for each Vertical Lot as determined by the CFD Administrator.


More Definitions of Building Floor Area

Building Floor Area means the square footage of the area included within the surrounding exterior walls of a building, including each floor of a multiple story building but not including any carport, walkway, garage, overhang, patio, enclosed patio, or similar area. The Building Floor Area will be determined by reference to City approved building permits or certificates of occupancy.
Building Floor Area means, for a Plot of Land that contains more than one Assessor’s Parcel, the building square footage of each Assessor’s Parcel located on such Plot of Land as indicated in the building square footage data for such Assessor's Parcel as obtained from the Assessor of the County, or as indicated on the building permit therefor, or other official information as determined by the CFD Administrator.
Building Floor Area means the sum of the habitable gross horizontal area of all floors of a building excluding in thecase of a dwelling, the floor area used for and devoted to mechanical equipment, laundry, storage, swimming pools, garage, porch veranda, or sunroom. All dimensions shall be measured between exterior faces of walls or supporting columns, or from the centre line of the walls or supporting columns separating two buildings.
Building Floor Area means and refers to the cumulative square footage of floor area, including without limitation, the ground floor area, of any Improvements, such as a building or structure, which have been constructed within the Permissible Building Area of a Parcel.
Building Floor Area means the sum of the areas computed from the outside dimensions of a building, including corridors and other design features, for each floor contained therein including mezzanine floors.
Building Floor Area means, for an Assessable Building, the total square footage of all floor areas included in the calculation of floor space ratio as approved by the Development Permit, excluding any areas devoted to social housing;

  • Rentable Area when applied to the Premises, is that area equal to the usable area of the Premises, plus an equitable allocation of Rentable Area within the Building that is not then utilized or expected to be utilized as usable area, including that portion of the Building devoted to corridors, equipment rooms, restrooms, elevator lobby, atrium and mailroom.

  • Building means any structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or occupancy.

  • New Building ’ means a new construction to house a complete motor vehicle as- sembly process, where that construction includes the pouring or construction of a new foundation and floor, the erection of a new frame and roof, and the instal- lation of new plumbing and electrical and other utilities;

  • Common Area means all areas and facilities within the Project that are not designated by Landlord for the exclusive use of Tenant or any other lessee or other occupant of the Project, including the parking areas, access and perimeter roads, pedestrian sidewalks, landscaped areas, trash enclosures, recreation areas and the like.
