Uniform Cleaning Allowance. Members may be reimbursed for the cleaning of any article of uniform clothing or personal clothing, when used during the performance of his/her duties as approved by the Chief of Police.

15.3 As the uniform allowance is paid in January and July, to be used in the following six months, upon separation of service (voluntary, involuntary, or retirement), employees must repay the City a prorated amount for the advanced uniform allowance.
Uniform Cleaning Allowance. 25.1 An annual cleaning allowance shall be established for and used by each employee at a cleaners in or out of the City mutually agreed upon by the employee and the Chief of Police. Such allowance is to be used throughout the year exclusively for cleaning such employee's uniforms to maintain established appearance standards. The allowance for each fiscal year ending June 30 shall be $270.00

A part time Corrections Officer who has worked more than 1500 hours in the previous year will be provided a four hundred dollar ($400) cleaning allowance.
28.3: All uniforms shall become the property of the Sheriff's Department upon the employee's termination regardless of the reason for termination. An employee who fails to return all uniforms shall be required to reimburse the County the uniform cost.
28.4: The Sheriff shall make available, the weapon and leather holster and belt to Corrections Officer(s) when making an inmate transfer.
28.5: A Service Bureau Agent or Inmate Trust/Financial Clerk hired to a full time position prior to July 1, 1989 shall be eligible for a two hundred dollar ($200.00) annual clothing allowance paid in equal quarterly installments in March, June, September, and December.
Uniform Cleaning Allowance.
Section 1. An annual uniform allowance of five hundred ($500.00) dollars shall be granted to full-time 911 Emergency Dispatchers in the Police Department for the purchase of approved uniforms.
Section 2. All full-time 911 Emergency Dispatchers in the Police Department shall receive an annual uniform cleaning allowance of four hundred ($400.00) dollars.
Section 3. It is mutually understood and agreed that all uniforms and equipment purchased under this Article are the property of the City. Upon leaving the service of the City, irrespective of the reason, all such uniforms and equipment shall be returned to the City.
Section 4. A complete list of accepted/required uniform items that can be purchased from the employees clothing allowance is included in the Norwich Police Department Uniform Policy. Items that can be purchased from a store of the employee’s choice include; white or black underwear t-shirt with or without sleeves, black socks, black uniform tie, black belts, and shoe polish kits.

28.3: A certified law enforcement officer not required to wear a uniform shall be entitled to five hundred dollars ($500.00) annually as clothing/cleaning allowance. The allowance shall be paid in four equal installments of one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00) in the months of March, June, September and December.
Uniform Cleaning Allowance. 18.1 There will be an annual uniform allowance of eight-hundred seventy dollars ($870.00), with four-hundred dollars ($400.00) to be paid on a separate payroll check, using the employee’s elected method of payroll, as soon as possible, in July of each year.
18.2 New employees employed as probationary PSO or PSO I shall be provided all uniform needs for the first year of their employment. After their one year anniversary, employees shall receive one-half of the uniform allowance. Upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period, the employee will be paid the second half of the uniform allowance. Thereafter, the employee shall receive the usual uniform allowance provided above.
18.3 A separate one hundred ($150.00) dollar uniform allowance will be provided to any employee who has been assigned, or promoted, to any position requiring a different uniform, or different clothing provided that such assignment is at least six (6) months in length.
18.4 Officers whose regular assignment requires civilian clothes, shall receive half of their uniform allowance in July and the other in January, each year.
18.5 No fixed uniform cleaning allowance will be paid. However, the Director of Public Safety shall have the authority to approve payment for the cleaning, repair and replacement of clothing.
18.6 As four-hundred dollars ($400.00) of the Uniform Allowance is paid in advance, upon separation of service, the advanced portion shall be prorated on the employee’s final paycheck.
