Subpoena to Court. Time spent on a scheduled working day by an employee required to serve as a juror or subpoenaed as a witness shall be considered as time worked at the appropriate rate of pay, less any payment.   • Jury Duty and Court Appearance 11.4.1 When summoned to serve on a jury; when subpoenaed as a witness in criminal proceedings, or as a witness in a civil action if not a party thereto; when appearing as a defendant in a criminal or traffic case if acquitted therefrom; the employee, to qualify for permission from the Xxxx/delegate to be absent with pay, shall produce the summons or subpoena or submit such other evidence showing the necessity for court appearance.

  • Court Witness Nurses who are subpoenaed or requested by the Medical Center to appear as a witness in a court case during their normal time off duty will be compensated for the time spent in connection with such an appearance in accordance with the applicable rate of pay.
