Steady Day Shift. H:02(3)(a) The normal daily hours of work for a Steady Day Shift, exclusive of a lunch period, as per Article H:03(2), shall be eight (8) hours per day not including a one-half (½) hour daily platform time and whose normal work week shall be five (5) days from Monday to Friday or five (5) days from Monday to Saturday, and whose daily work shall not be scheduled to terminate later than 7:30 p.m. It is further agreed and understood that Steady Day Shifts scheduled to work beyond 4:30 p.m. will receive the Shift Differentials outlined in Article 14:05 for the entire shift. H:02(3)(b) Operators scheduled to work Steady Day Shifts Monday to Friday will be off on Saturday and Sunday.

Steady Day Shift. While there are employees working under the terms of Article 26, any employee working a steady day shift will not be governed by Article 26. Subject to the provisions of this Article 26 all other provisions of the Collective Agreement shall apply.

Steady Day Shift. The Company has three (3) steady day jobs. These positions will continue indefinitely. Subsequent to the ratification of this agreement, any new vacancies arising from these provisions will be posted with the provisions of this agreement. After considerable discussion between the Company and the Union, it was agreed during 2012 Collective Bargaining that the provisions of this letter with respect to ‘steady day shifts’ would be suspended until such time that the pool of employees is sufficient to accommodate the provisions of this letter while maintaining the remaining employees their rights as provided in Article 52.01 of the Collective Agreement. LETTER OF HEATERS UNDERSTANDING #12 – WORK AREA Subsequent to the ratification of this Collective Agreement, the Company and the Union will discuss work areas that have no overhead heating units and an agreement will be reached where all work areas are adequately heated during the cold winter months.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.

  • Hour Shift A ten (10) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid thirty-seven and one half (37.5) minute meal period and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Night Shift Employees who regularly work a full shift of eight (8) hours or more on night shift as defined in Section 12.6.1 (Types of Shifts), which includes four (4) hours or more between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., shall be paid their regular salary plus ten percent (10%) of their monthly salary per month, provided that in the case of any employee who is regularly assigned to night-shift work for less than an entire work week, the additional payment shall be made only for the portion of the work week worked on the night-shift assignment.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Extra Shifts Where an employee agrees to work or is required by the Employer to work a shift(s) or portion thereof, in excess of the employee’s scheduled work week, the employee will receive pay at the rate of one and one‐half (1½) times the employee’s regular hourly rate for such excess hours worked, with a minimum of three (3) hours at the rate of one and one‐half (1½) times the employee’s regular rate of pay.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.
