Extra shifts definition

Extra shifts known prior to the posting of the schedule will be assigned by seniority within the classification to part-time employees up to but not exceeding regular full-time hours. Where a senior employee is already scheduled to work a shift that is less than 7.5 hours on a day, and the ‘extra shift’ known prior to the posting of the schedule is of greater hours that employee will instead be assigned the shift of greater hours.
