Statutory Pay. Every member who is required to work on a day so designated as a statutory holiday as per the Employment Standards Act, shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (11/2) for the time so worked and if the member would have otherwise qualified for a holiday, one (1) day off in lieu, either before or after the holiday.

Statutory Pay. Employees who qualify for the Statutory Holiday as outlined in the Canada Labour Code will receive holiday pay equal to 1/20th of the wages earned excluding overtime pay, in the four (4) weeks immediately preceding the week in which the holiday falls. If an employee is required to work on a holiday listed above, they will be entitled to their regular daily rate plus time and a half (1 ½) for all hours worked or a day in lieu of the holiday, to be taken Monday to Friday.
Statutory Pay a) General Holiday pay shall be calculated at the driver’s normal regular daily rate. Snow days and all regular scheduled work performed shall be used in this calculation.

  • Injury Pay If an employee is injured on the job and his supervisor excuses him from further duty for the balance of his shift, the employee's regular rate of pay shall continue for the balance of that shift and there shall be no deduction from sick leave or other credits.

  • Union Dues Deductions It shall be a condition of employment for all Nurses in the Bargaining Unit, that dues be deducted from their bi-weekly salary in the amount determined by the Union. The deductions for newly employed Nurses shall be in the first pay period of employment. The dues shall be submitted monthly to the Union together with a list of the Nurses from whom the deductions were made.

  • Statutory Leave To the extent that the following statutory provisions are applicable to a member of the bargaining unit the Board shall comply with the requirements of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”) and the Vermont Parental and Family Leave Act (“PFLA”). Leave pursuant to each of these acts shall be provided according to the requirements of statute and the Board’s policies and practices. Pursuant to these policies and practices, whenever an employee is entitled to and/or granted paid or unpaid sick (disability) leave or family leave pursuant to the terms of this Agreement and the employee is also entitled to leave pursuant to the FMLA and/or PFLA for the same occurrence, both the leave provided pursuant to the Agreement and that which is provided pursuant to the FMLA/PFLA will be provided concurrently. The employee may elect to use paid leave other than sick leave or family leave during any period of leave provided pursuant to FMLA and/or PFLA. Also, FMLA/PFLA leave will be provided concurrent with Workers’ Compensation benefits where concurrent entitlement exists. All other matters regarding the administration of leave provided pursuant to the FMLA and the PFLA shall be as provided by the District’s policies and practices.

  • Shift Differential Pay A. An employee shall receive additional compensation at the rate of seventy five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.

  • Union Dues Deduction The Company will deduct union dues from new employees who have worked a minimum of forty (40) hours.

  • Workers' Compensation Supplement Where a regular Grid A full-time employee is qualified for Workers' Compensation, the Employer shall make up the difference between the employee's regular straight time earnings at his or her regular hourly rate of pay and what he or she receives from the Workers' Compensation Board for the first three (3) scheduled working days of absence from the job. This is to be taken out of the Sick Leave credits of the employee if such credits exist. Otherwise, the Employer shall pay this amount. Thereafter, the Employer shall make up the difference between ninety percent (90%) of the employee's net straight time earnings based on his or her regular hourly rate of pay and what he or she receives from the Workers' Compensation Board for a period of up to thirteen (13) weeks from the first (1st) day of absence due to injury on the job. Part-time employees shall be entitled to use their Sick Leave accumulation for make-up to one hundred percent (100%) for the first three (3) scheduled working days of absence. In the event the Workers' Compensation Board challenges initial coverage, or after going on W.C.B. benefits, the Workers' Compensation Board terminates such benefits because the Board has decided that the employee's disability is no longer related to the compensable injury, the Employer will pay the Workers' Compensation Board portion and an amount equal to the difference between ninety percent (90%) of the employee's net straight time earnings and the Workers' Compensation Board portion for a period up to thirteen (13) weeks as an advance until the matter is decided. If the claim is later allowed by the Workers' Compensation Board, the Employer will be refunded that portion of the advance paid by the Workers' Compensation Board either directly from the Board or, if not possible, from the employee. At the Employer's option, the employee will pursue the Appeals Procedure under the Workers' Compensation Board.

  • DEDUCTION OF UNION DUES The Employer will, as a condition of employment, deduct an amount equal to membership dues from the biweekly pay of all employees in the bargaining unit.

  • Workers' Compensation Leave A. When an injury is determined to be job related in accordance with Article XII, a regular, limited-term or probationary employee shall be placed on Workers'

  • Differential Pay Section 1(A). Geographic Area Pay. Classifications C4115, C4116, C4207, C4209, C4211, C4213, C4215, C4221, C4223, C4225: Prevailing basic rates in specific geographical areas for employment of limited duration less than one hundred twenty (120) days will be approved. Employee is responsible for reporting to Employee's supervisor as soon as practical any on-the-job related injury or illness.
