Day in Lieu. Should a statutory holiday fall and be celebrated on an employee's regular rest day, or during an employee's annual vacation, the regular employee shall receive another day off with pay in lieu, at a time mutually agreed upon by the Board and the Union (or the applicable supervisor and employee when appropriate).
Day in Lieu. Day in Lieu" means a day other than the actual day of occurrence of a specified Paid Holiday, as defined in Clause 20.01, on which that specified Paid Holiday is observed in accordance with the applicable provisions of this Agreement.
Day in Lieu. In the event any of the holidays listed in 8.01 occur during the period of an employee's vacation, an additional day's vacation with pay shall be allowed for each holiday so occurring.
Day in Lieu. A Full-time Employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay on or for a Named Holiday provided the Full-time Employee:
Day in Lieu. (i) An employee shall be paid for each General Holiday even if it falls on his weekly days off, or on his annual vacation. Said employee shall take off his next available shift or if sufficient employees prefer to work such that there is a viable production operation then the employee shall so work and receive the additional pay.
Day in Lieu. 14.3.1 Where the Superintendent of Schools requires, in writing, a teacher to provide service on a day not in the normal school year, that teacher will receive one (1) “day in lieu” for each such day. Such days worked will not exceed five (5) days for any one school year. If a substitute teacher is required, for classroom teaching, the cost will be covered by the School Division. Such days shall be taken at a time that is mutually agreeable to both the teacher and the Superintendent.
Day in Lieu. An employee who is required to work on a public holiday is entitled to be paid at the rate of double time and one half of the employee’s ordinary rate. As an alternative, and subject to the agreement of the Company, the normal public holiday rate may be replaced by:
